Wood
The wood and furniture industry specializes in handling various types of wooden pieces. From melamine boards to chipboard panels, and raw wood panels, this industry is characterized by a dusty and abrasive environment, with some handled pieces being porous. The handling equipment must therefore be adapted to these specific constraints. NOVACOM offers tailor-made solutions to meet these requirements.
Wood Industry Requirements
- Very short cycle time
- Adaptability to the surface to be handled (porous, presence of veins and chips)
- Avoid clogging of the vacuum circuit
- Energy saving
Applications
- Board Destacking: Separation of wooden boards to feed the production line.
- Holding for Machining
- Board Separation and Cleaning: The multitude of nozzles, air curtains, blow guns, and blowing ramps offered by NOVACOM allows for the separation of boards during destacking as well as various cleaning applications.
Handling Smooth and Airtight Products
For handling melamine, flat suction cups (series 5, 90, and PFG) are perfectly suited, as they are suitable for flat and airtight products. Other suction cups, such as those with foam strips, allow for the handling of raw wood panels with veins.
Anti-Clogging Venturis and Pneumatic Transport
As the wood industry is a very dusty environment, it is essential to ensure the proper functioning of the vacuum circuit. NOVACOM recommends the use of anti-clogging venturis (VCR series). For the recovery and evacuation of chips, pneumatic transports (TP series) and the suction wand (CANDAS series) are ideal solutions. Air amplifiers (AA series) are also used for the aspiration of webs.
